University Education
A number of universities border the Centre-du-Québec region: Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Université Laval, Université de Sherbrooke, and various Montréal universities.Partnerships between Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and CEGEPs (general and vocational colleges) in Victoriaville and Drummondville enable students to pursue bachelors and masters level studies within the region. Programs offered include management, human resources management, psychology, workplace health and safety, and nursing sciences.
Centre-du-Québec’s Centre universitaire PME (SME university center) is an extension of Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières’s Institut de recherche sur les PME (SME research institute), a world-renowned institution. Its goal is to raise awareness among and train people who will directly or indirectly contribute to economic growth in the Centre-du-Québec region. It provides businesses with private training and offers masters level programs of study.
